A black-glazed ‘Jackfield’ type loving cup with two handles. Decorated with gold gilding and white enamel dots. The front has a gilded monogram of ‘W H A’ above the date 1861. The inside also has a wash of gold lustre.
An attractive and rare loving cup which was probably made in Staffordshire, England, maker unknown.

The stem has been broken and re-glued. Some of the white enamel dots are missing.
