A pink lustre-ware oblong wall plaque with black transfer printed motto in centre “PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD Amos VI.. XII.”, surrounded by an angel and floral wreath.
White clay body with a clear pearlware type glaze. This is a slightly smaller version than usually encountered, and without the more common darker outer border. There are two round hanging holes at top.
These plaques were made in Sunderland in Northern England during the C19th. This may be a Dixon & Co product but is unmarked.

Small hairline in top left corner (approximately 50mm long). A small stain on lower front of print.
