A small press-moulded earthenware spaniel dog figure. With a brown treacleware glaze over a yellowish buff body. The dog has a moulded collar but no chain. The base is slightly recessed with an un-glazed foot ring except where the thick glaze has run. Base is closed with a small pierced air hole.
Probably made in Staffordshire circa 1850-1880.
