Photography
We do our best to represent colours as accurately and true to life as possible, however colours may appear differently on different devices and we cannot guarantee colour accuracy. We do not artificially enhance images to increase colour saturation etc.

Books
We sell a mixture of new and used books. We do our best to list significant condition issues but recommend that you contact us to request a more thorough evaluation of specific titles if required. Used books will inevitably have some wear etc. New books are sealed in plastic, in pristine condition. Weights given for books include packaging.

Pots & Glass
We disclose all known condition issues as fully as we are able and will make it known if we are uncertain. Weights given for pots and glass are net (i.e. without packaging).

Repaired’ means that the item has been stuck back together in some part, using the original pieces (e.g. when a handle is reattached). This may include historic repairs with metal rivets or more usually with glue.

Restored’ indicates that a missing portion has been replaced with a filler material (and usually with the restoration painted over).

As a general principle we prefer not to restore pots except in rare instances, and in those cases we choose ‘museum style’ restoration techniques (i.e. restored areas are painted over to the exact edge without any over-painting of original surfaces, in a shade which is slightly different to the pot colour, so that the restoration can be seen clearly on close inspection but does not detract from display).

We try and present items which are in top condition, but we also feel that many damaged pieces are nevertheless very important study pieces, often rare or even unique, and well worthy of adding to collections.

Post & Packing
Postage is based on weight. Where possible we will use Small Packet Airmail for overseas packages but these have a weight limit of 2 Kg. Above this we need to use couriers. We pack most paperback books in padded envelopes and most hard back books are sent in professional cardboard book wraps. Pots will be boxed securely with ample packaging. We use a mixture of new and clean re-used packaging to minimise the impact on the environment.

You will be able to choose your postage method and see the actual cost during checkout (before needing to commit to buy). If you would prefer to make other postal arrangements, or wish to discuss the possibility of collecting your purchases in person, then please contact us with your requirements.

You are responsible for any import duties and taxes imposed in your country upon receiving the goods, if any such taxes or duties apply.

Postal Insurance
It is only possible to insure pots against loss in transit but not against damage. Insured post must be selected during checkout if required. We pack all pots to a very high standard so that they will survive rough handling should it occur.

Privacy Policy
We will not share your contact information, or any other details, with anyone else, with the sole exception being if a fraud is suspected to have taken place.

We may send out very occasional emails about updates to our stock etc. but you can opt out of these easily if you so wish.

Returns Policy
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase, therefore we offer a full refund guarantee. Items which are returned for any reason other than being incorrect, or not as described, are subject to the following conditions:

In the event of goods being incorrectly described or the wrong goods being sent, we will refund your postage costs as well as the cost of goods, once items have been returned and received. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged please note this when signing for the item with the courier and please take a photo of the packaging if possible, then contact us.

Sale of Goods:
Items will be posted once payment has been received in full. We will wait for cheques to clear before posting goods. Title of ownership will remain with us until items are paid for in full including all associated postal costs.
