A pearlware plate with moulded shell edge border with 3 pairs of swagged acanthus leaves. Clear glazed with underglaze (under-glaze) blue painted ‘Long Liza and Pagoda’ pattern (also known as a Lange Lyzen figure). The back has an impressed “O” mark.
These wares were produced widely in Britain with the majority made in Staffordshire.
