A brown-glazed treacleware spirit flask, or boot warmer, in the shape of a right boot with side lace. The base has 3 widely spaced kiln trivit scar marks. Earthenware. Probably Staffordshire.
Boot warmers were shaped like boots, filled with hot water, and placed inside real boots to pre-heat them.
